Families Connected care about familial bonds and believe in bringing families together in a safe and nurturing way. They offer a neutral place where children can enjoy spending time with their parents and loved ones.
When a relationship breaks down and parents are not able to resolve their issues it can be a difficult time for everyone, especially a child. Families Connected would like to be able to support families in this situation.
At Families Connected, there are expert children and family workers who provide an honest and open working approach, as well as modern facilities, allowing parents and children to feel at home during contact.
Families Connected has the enhanced accreditation of the NACCC.
Meet the Team
We have a diverse team at Families Connected. Here is information about some of our friendly faces.
Lana
Lana has worked with vulnerable children for over 15 years. As a front-line social worker, she has extensive safeguarding experience but first started her career working with young people who had been separated from their parents.
As a parent, Lana prides herself on understanding the parental bond and its importance, and she values the unconditional love of a parent to their child.
Radka - Contact co-ordinator
With 16 years' experience of caring for children of all ages, from newborns upwards, Radka is one our longest-serving team members at Families Connected. She is an energetic, trustworthy, friendly person with a good sense of humour and provides our families with a firm but calm and consistent approach.
Radka has an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and is first aid trained. Radka is fluent in English, Czech and Slovak.
Mala - Contact co-ordinator
Mala is a qualified and professional childcare provider with over 20 years of experience. She prides herself on being highly organised and is a loyal, empathetic and trustworthy member of the Families Connected team.
Mala has a NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care as well as an Intermediate Counselling qualification. She is trained in Substance misuse and domestic abuse.
Purnam - Contact co-ordinator
With an empathic approach, Purnam is a contact co-ordinator who is always willing to go the extra mile and supports all our families as best as possible. She is trained in domestic abuse, first aid awareness and has an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care. Purnam is fluent in English, Hindi (Indian) and Creole Mauritian.

Families Connected new Family Contact Centre in Bournemouth offers a warm, safe and engaging environment designed with children and families in mind.
The centre features four thoughtfully designed rooms, including a dedicated infant space with soft play and a ball pit, alongside interactive games and role-play activities for older children. With something for all ages to enjoy across the four rooms, plus a secure outdoor play area, the centre provides a welcoming space where families can connect, play and build positive experiences together.
Providing a Caring Solution to Contact Arrangements
The managers at Families Connected Contact Centre are qualified and experienced Social Workers with 12 years of experience in the industry. They offer a range of contact solution services and welfare services. All contact supervisors hold a Health & Social Care / Childcare qualification and are first aid trained.
